Handpicked on April 3rd at 25.2 brix our Cabernet Franc was de stemmed into small open topped fermenters. The ferments were hand plunged and pumped over to aid in extracting all the flavour and colour from the berries. The wine was pressed to French oak barrels of which 27% were new.

Well-concentrated robust wine with sweet plum fruit flavours, praline espresso notes and chalky long textures. Finishes firm with minerally inky liquorice leafy notes. This wine made the Annual Vintage Selection (AVS) as one of a dozen wines to represent the best of what the Gimblett Gravels region can produce to be showcased around the world.
