With the success of the Beach House Reserve Sauvignon Blanc 2013 in receiving the only GOLD medal Sauvignon Blanc at the 2013 A&P Hawke’s Bay Show, we decided to give it another go in 2014.
The same approach was adopted where we ferment our fresher, gooseberry and passionfruit driven Sauvignon Blanc from the stoney beach gravels of our Te Awanga Vineyard with a riper, more tropical Sauvignon Blanc that we press to old French barrels and ferment wild.
Our 2014 Reserve Sauvignon Blanc is a ‘savvy’ with a difference. Slightly lighter in style than our 2013 this is a more vibrant and refreshing wine. The complexities of the wild ferment coupled with the crisp acidity from our Te Awanga block lend this wine a lovely purity and balance.
